Welcome to my guide dedicated to Collioure, one of the best towns in France in my opinion.

My name is Christophe Vidal and I’ve been going to Collioure since I was a child.

Now, in my 40s, with my wife and children by my side, my connection to Collioure has grown deeper with every visit.

My earliest memories are peppered with vivid images of Collioure's playing on the beach by the breakwater, snorkling, the castle of course and walking up to the windmill to admire the views.

Later, as a teenager, I preferred to get lost in alleyways with friends or go for hikes out of town and I really started to fall in love with Collioure’s blend of French and Catalan cultures.

As an adult, my fascination turned towards the rich history and the culinary traditions of this unique town and realised that there really wasn’t any good resources online about Collioure – in particularly, going deep into its history, hotels and restaurants.

So, as a labour of love, I undertook to create this website and really try to provide a comprehensive and engaging guide for others who wish to explore this captivating locale.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of staying in some of Collioure’s top hotels, allowing me to understand and appreciate what truly makes each place special. Moreover, for this project, I've met with numerous hoteliers and founders of local restaurants each with stories that are as captivating as the town itself.

Through this Collioure Guide – a work-in-progress and labour of love - I share these insights and stories.

Whether you're looking for the best place to enjoy a sunset dinner, tips on family-friendly activities, or a detailed history of Collioure, I hope you'll find it all here. My mission is to help you discover the magic of Collioure, just as I have.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope this site inspires you to explore the enchanting streets and stunning coastline of Collioure. Bon voyage!
