Collioure is easily accessible by car as it’s located near the A9 motorway, which runs along the Mediterranean coast of France.

To get to Collioure From Barcelona: Head north on the AP-7 motorway (which becomes the A9 in France) towards Perpignan, and follow the same route as above from there. The drive from Barcelona takes about 3 hours.

A much longer “scenic route” is to go down the coast via Portbou, which is a majestic coastal drive via Cerbere and Banyuls-Sur-Mer, though the roads are very windy, so you have been warned!
