It’s one of the best times to visit Collioure because it’s much less busy, the days become longer and the region begins to bloom with vibrant flowers and greenery.
Just be warned that from March to May is often it’s rainiest time (having said that, this area is the driest area of France, so rain is still quite rate).

The Mediterranean Sea is perfect for swimming during this period with sea water temperatures reaching up to 24°C (75°F).
This is the peak tourist season, with many visitors flocking to the beaches and enjoying water sports, so it’s more expensive, crowded and parking can be difficult.

By this time, the crowds thin out and it’s generally a more relaxed atmosphere. In fact, autumn in Collioure is my favourite time to visit! It’s worth visiting the vineyards surrounding Collioure around then as it’s especially picturesque during this season when the grape picking harvest begins and there are a lot of wine festivals.
Winter Weather in Collioure (December - February)
Winter in Collioure is mild compared to other parts of France, with temperatures ranging from 8°C (46°F) to 12°C (54°F), though locals think it’s rather cold since they are so used to the warmth. Rainfall is more frequent, but sunny days are still common.
This is the absolute quietist time to visit Collioure, with much fewer tourists, but it’s a peaceful time to explore the local culture, enjoy the seaside views and there’s still a lot of winter festivities. Be aware that quite a few restaurants close in January and February.
